Every business in the UAE needs a trade license to operate legally.
The license specifies the company's permitted commercial activities and is issued by either the DED (mainland) or the relevant free zone authority.
There are several types: Commercial License (for trading activities), Professional License (for services, consulting, crafts), Industrial License (for manufacturing), and Tourism License (for travel and hospitality).
